Ladies and Gents,
An error message popped up saying Internet Explorer has encountered a
problem and needs to close. I rebooted and I decided to do a system
restore. Now system restore only opens a skeleton of the usual window
for it and other than the title bar, none of the usual text appears.
I checked to be sure the System Restore service is running, and it is.
I couldn't see any error messages for it in the event log.
Also, when I open Search|For Files or Folders, the search window opens
but none of the usual directory tree (which is usually above the
doggie).
When I log into Yahoo mail with IE6, some of the features no longer
work, like the little check box next to e-mails which is supposed to
let you select messages to delete. The box will let me check it, but
when I click on Delete, nothing happens.
Hopefully all of these things correlate and one of you wizards will
recognize the correlation.
Thanks in advance for the help,
Barbara
