System Restore Window

Matt

I was having some virus/spyware/trojan issues. It all seemed to involve a
file apipe32.exe. I took care of that, but now I am trying to restore my
computer settings thru system restore. When I start the program the window
opens, but it is empty (all white). I have gone into the "inf" folder and
run the install off the "sr" file.

I have a HP Pavilion a350. Running WinXP Home with IE6 with all updates. I
have PC-Cillin 2003 and Microsoft AntiSpyware installed. The MS AntiSpyware
won't start and neither will most of my start up programs.

Hi Matt,

Reinstalling System Restore removes all existing restore points, and
creates one new one.
There's no way to get them back. What are you seeing now when you run
System Restore?

Here is a combination of utilities that I have found to work very well
in the removal and prevention of virus infection, spyware, parasites,
malware and the like.

Crap!!
When I run the program from the folder (when I hover over My Programs
nothing pops) a window opens and it says system restore on the top but the
window is blank/white. What if I run the HP Recovery utility that I have the
option upon boot, does anyone know what will happen for certain?

Thanks.
