System restore promblem

I am using win xp home. I restored the system the other day, and it worked
and I have set a restore point aftersuccessful reboot. Today, when I tried
to restore to that point as well as a couple of other high-lighted restore
points but the final message is it cannot restore it to the days I wanted and
asked me to restore it to another point. I tried a couple of other days, and
they all say the same thing.
Any idea how I can correct the problem?

Here are some tips on troubleshooting:
http://bertk.mvps.org/html/srfail.html

If still no joy try to run the HijackThis and send the Log to the
appropriate forum for analysis.
Download the Hijackthis and send the report to one of
many
forums for analysis and troubleshooting:
When all else fails, HijackThis v1.99.1
(http://aumha.org/downloads/hijackthis.zip) is the preferred tool to use.
It will help you to both identify and remove any hijackware/spyware. Post
your log to http://aumha.net/viewforum.php?f=30,
http://castlecops.com/forum67.html,
http://forums.subratam.org/index.php?showforum=7, or other appropriate
forums for expert analysis, not here.
P.S do you have any Third party Toolbars?, Turn Off the AV when trying to
restore and try to restore in Safe mode.
HTH.
Let us know.

nass
