SYSTEM RESTORE PROBLEMS PLEASE HELP

I was given this computer with alot of programs and downloaded stuff on it.
System Restore won't let me go back far enough to get rid of it all. I want
to restore this computer back to its original settings from when it was
bought. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

If the computer came with a set of Recovery CDs, ask the manufacturer how to
use them.

If the computer did not come with recovery CDs, you will need to do a clean
install of Windows and all your software. You will need installation CDs for
Windows and the rest of your software.

You should backup any important folders and files while you still can.
