I removed a virus from a friends computer and then just looked at a few
other things to make sure everthing was OK (removed spyware, disk cleanup,
defragment) everything went well except I thought the defrag was
exceptionally slow. Anyways now when its booted it works for 1-2 minutes
and reboots. It will boot up no problem in safe mode so I am thinking there
is also a driver issue. I wanted to try a system restore just to see if
that would fix things or at least get it stable enough to fix it.
Unfortunately, system restore has been disabled nor can I enable it while is
safe mode(can't try it in regular mode as it shuts down to fast) not that it
would help now. I am also doubting that booting into the last known good
configuration will help either. I guess I am asking for any advice/help
with this. I am also wondering how the system restore could be disabled as
it would be beyond the users in this family to know where to go to
enable/disable it or to be accidentally there either and disable it. Thanks
in advance.
