System Restore is Corrupted?

None of my restore points will work. I have dumped all of them twice and I
still get a window that tells me that the restoration is incomplete and that
no changes have been made to my computer. When I click on the question mark
in that window I get a new window from McAfee Virus scan that says "A
suspicious script has been detected"! It also says that "File
c:\windows\system32\restore\rstrui.exe" contains suspicious scripting
activity ect................................I have had more than my share of
Trojans and spy ware removed in the last month and that more than likely has
something to do with the program not working?

like this so I hope I don't make things worse? Are there
any spaces in that line or does it run continuous?

It didn't work, I got a window that stated.............The
file 'sr.sys' on windows XP Home Edition Service Pack 1 CD
is needed. Type the path where file is located, and click
on...........copy files from: box??? This might be more
involved than I can handle??? Thanks, Dennis
