Giles Lynes
On a number of occassions in the past few months when I've tried to restore
my system, most of the available restore points give me the message:
"Your computer cannot be restored to:... date"
================================
The event viewer sr log shows the message:
Event Type: Error
Event Source: sr
Event Category: None
Event ID: 1
Date: 13/04/2006
Time: 8:14:16 AM
User: N/A
Computer: GILES-SATARAID
Description:
The System Restore filter encountered the unexpected error '0xC0000001'
while processing the file '' on the volume 'HarddiskVolume1'. It has
stopped monitoring the volume.
For more information, see Help and Support Center at
http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.asp.

The link above suggests that monitoring has been turned off and will restart
after the next restore point is created, but the same error seems to exist
after numerous restore points.
Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Giles
