System Restore Difficulty

My system has suddenly been running very slowly when
using DSL on the internet. I chose to run a system
restore, but every attempt leads to a RUNDLL exception.
The exact message reads --

an exception occurred while trying to
run "shell32.dll,ControlRun_DLL "C:\WINDOWS\System32
\sysdm.cpl",System"

Can anyone offer suggestions to solve this matter?

You could try re-installing System Restore.

Using Windows Explorer, go to "C:\WINDOWS\inf". Right Click on
'sr.inf', and left click on 'Install'.
