System Restore Confirmation page won't go away

I did a system restore several months ago on my computer and now every time I
turn it on or reboot, the confirmation page appears before my desktop loads.
The only thing that changes is the date. Is there any way to get this page
to stop comming up every time?

Thanks!

Thanks for pointing me to that site, it's very helpful. Unfortunately I
cannot find the sr.inf file to uninstall. I don't suppose it's possible
there's another file I'm supposed to find?

Thanks for the help!

Did you follow the article provided by Bert?
Note: The following file is located in a hidden folder. To view hidden files
follow these steps:

Open Control Panel - Folder Options - View tab, select "Show hidden files
and folders" and uncheck "Hide extensions for known file types", click OK.

Open Windows Explorer and navigate to the windows\inf folder.

Find the sr.inf file, right click on it and select Install.

Yes I did. There wasn't a windows/inf folder that I could find but the
additional instructions pointed me to the "service pack files" folder since I
have a certain version of Explorer. I wasn't able to find the sr.inf file
in either of the folders mentioned. I also did a search for it but came up
empty.

you have to use "Advanced Search Options" when searching so that seach looks
in hidden folders.

Also, for search locatio, search all local drives. in case you're not on "C"
drive.

I found mine in C:/Windows/inf

Mr. Kinney,
I have two drives. I recently installed a new drive with a lot of disk
space. Is there a way I can move my system restore to that new drive so I
can get longer restore points? Or does system restore work off of both
drives?

Hi,

There's no way to change the location of where restore points are
stored. Each drive/partition will contain a folder (System Volume
Information) that holds restore points. Using restore points older that
two weeks could end up causing more problems than they fix. System
Restore is best used as a short term fix.

Here are some tip on adjusting the amount of disk space System Restore
uses.
