system restore after vista upgrade

i have just upgraded to vista from xp, what i wanted to know was how to do
system recovery if i have any problems in the future,i had recovery discs for
xp,but all i have got for vista is the acer upgrade wizard and the acer vista
upgrade disc,with xp you had acer erecovery but the upgrade removes that,
ihave contacted acer and they said the will not give support now i have
changed from xp to vista and yet the upgrade was all in acer packets,any help
please
