What exactly do you mean by "full system recovery"?

If you're trying to perform a repair installation of Windows XP
and you're being asked for an administrator password it may
mean you hit the R key too soon and ended up in the Recovery
Console. Early in the installation process you'll be presented
with this screen.

If you're intention is to attempt a repair installation, hit
the Enter key. Windows will search for any existing XP
installations. Here's where you select the installation you
want to repair and hit the R key.

Note: If your intention was to start up the Recovery Console
you might try hitting the Enter key. By default, the password
for the Administrator account in Windows XP Home Edition is
blank.

Take a look at these articles for information on installing XP.

So did you restart the repair installation and follow the steps
I outlined in my earlier response?

Did you read and follow the advice contained in this article?

If you're still having problems, post back with details on
exactly what steps you've taken to repair the installation. Be
as specific as possible.
