System reboots when rotating image in Windows Explorer Flipchart

Sometimes when rotating an image within My Pictures folder
in Windows XP, my computer completely shuts down or
sometimes it reboots. Basically the kernel crashes. What
can be the issue here? can it be the hardware or just
some windows issue? any ideas anyone?

Hi,
Are these images you downloaded from a camera and if so, what brand and
model is it?

I went to that article and it explained the problem and
resolution fine, but I can't figure out hoe to get the
update to fix it. Any help?
