060508 System re-install OS: fat ntfs registry (time element)

Hi, I am learning about reinstalling XP home, and am curious about knowing
manner of re-install to get a new registry to be initiated. Having multiple
problems.
- am still reviewing 3 links have in that area, but would like confirmation
of above

(to do / verify correct method 1st time; minor to know but 5-10 boots, 2
minute web pages on dsl, may have lost some shared files with names like aol,
during uninstalls, have to delete registry elelments for za firewall to make
other za firewall work,..) anyways, 3 links include:

http://winsupersite.com/showcase/windowsxp_sg_clean.asp
http://www.windowsreinstall.com/winxphome/installxpcdoldhdd/indexfullpage.htm

QUESTION is: to use Op Sys to boot & Install from booted state, or from a
normal boot state: To Get the Registry (& do I need to worry about boot
sectors) to be re-installed. thanks!

Youre a little confused...Simply install xp cd,boot to xp cd (you may need to
set for this in the BIOS-boot priority device or similiar),once at xp cd boot
menu,select,install xp,new copy,delete the partition,create one,then xp
formats
the hd and installs auto....The registry gets readded upon installation, you
also
should have the drive formatted in ntfs (xp gives the option),FAT32 is
history...
