system password question

Jerry

I recently upgraded to XP Home Edition and checked the
block to inactivate the request for a system password
since noone uses the computer but me, my wife and cat. I
later found out I needed to have left that password so I
could activate the password protection on a favorite game
I was helping beta test. Can I reactivate that initial
system password.
Thanks,
Jerry

Hi Jerry,

Sure, you can create a password for the Administrator account.
However, it would be best to create another user account and
make it an Administrator account instead. It's just more secure
and good policy to leave the original Administrator account un-
touched, to be used for emergencies only.

To create a password, go to Control Panel / User Accounts /
select the account and click "Create a password". Good luck!
