System keeps Shuting down

On Windows 2000 Professional The system keeps shuting
down. The Svchost.exe starts to shut down windows, the
blue screen of death appears and states something like "It
is beginning a dump of physical memory to a disc" and then
starts a count down. The system was very, very slow so
everything was erased and reinstalled. Things worked
faster at that point. Amessage comes up about the
Svchost.ext shuting down windows while on the internet,
word, or e-mail.
Norton has been run, with the latest updates and nothing
was found.

Any idea's?

Thanks,
Craig

.

Sounds like a memory problem.

You mean the memory is bad or that there is not enough
memory or there is a virus in the memory, or something
else?

The same memory has been in the computer for years. This
has only started within the last 3-4 weeks.

Thanks for the info - anyone else have any ideas?
