system exception: access violation

I am using FrontPage2002 publishing a large web (over 2.4
GB with 3,872 files) running on FreeBSD 4.8 Whenever I
do an update it publishes some of the files, but not
all. It is only happening with one particular website.
Others I have work fine. Then after the "Publish Web"
program runs for a few minutes, I get the error:

"system exception: access violation"

The other problem is that it insists on republishing all
of my Word and Excel documents each time even though they
have not been updated.

If the remote server has the FP extensions, suggest you break the site into
subwebs, especially files for download, which can then be uploaded via FTP,
as they don't have to managed by FP.

You can also select the documents and mark them to not be published.
