System error 2 has occurred
cannot load files

every time I start the w2k system the cmd.exe gives out
the mesg.

"System error 2 has occurred"
"cannot load files"

The system cannot find the file specified.

Is the an error mesg. log file what can be read?
I'm missing a bunch of files. Services can't be started.
