System disk

Ok, I succeeded in porting everything from F: to C:. The old system on F: is unbootable
owing to rank stupidity on my part. But the system still wants to boot to F: so I have to
select C: quickly at the choice screen. I edited Boot.ini on C but it has no effect, ergo
the system is looking at boot.ini on F:. Which I can edit, too.

But what must I do to have C: recognized as the system disk? Switch cables? Or software?

By "port" I meant "re-install all the software." It all started when the F: installation
began to fall apart; too many strange things happening. There was no place to recover to
because the whole mess was rotten. Anyway, I edited the Boot.ini file and all appears
right by now.

thanks for your response.

: Do you have a dual boot with C: and F: ? By port did you clone or
: image the F: drive/partition? You can run the
: Recovery Console and using the Bootcfg /rebuild command fix the
: boot.ini file. Check here
