System Crash

Win xp sp2, PIII,450Mhz, 320MB RAM, HP Pavilion 8485z
Recently I installed DVD Writer. It was playing DVD ok. Since yesterday when
I try to play DVD, system crashes with physical memory dump.cpu usage 3%, PF
usage 228MB, commit charge 233480k.
Error report says Problem caused by file incdrm.sys. The driver is
attempting to access memory beyond the end of allocation. Physical memory
dump complete.
Stop:0x000000D6(0x82A4Foe3,0x00000000,0xF85DA6DC,0x00000000)
The pc restarts and works ok. The crash repeats if I try to play DVD.
Any help to resolve this problem is appreciated.

My inclination is to suspect low RAM, even though some say 256 is enough to
run XP, I doubt anything less tha 512 is adequate if you want to do
anything, especially with a motherboard and CPU of that vintage. But,wait
and see what other folks say.....

Incdrm.sys is the cause of your problems, as stated in the error
message. It is almost certainly a programming error in the file, as
it should not be attempting to access memory outside of the address
space that it has been allocated.

Incdrm.sys is part of Ahead's Incd/Nero software so you should check
with them regarding updated software or any other possible fix for
this problem.

Good luck
