system crash

every time i load up cerain avi files my computer just freezes i cant do
anything not even ctrl + alt + delate wosks!

please help ive tried completly removing all codecs that ive downloaded
removing and re installing media player ive even tried other media players!
non of that worked i really dont know wats causeing this at all.
 
have you tried winamp 5? i had similar problems with media player, i
installed winamp as the main player and everything worked fine.hope it
helps

From Kelly's site, http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_abc.htm, Click on
"A" and scroll to the last line, "AVI-Explorer.exe".
