I developed a minor, though annoying problem recently. The system clock
display appears to have widened somehow, so that there is more "dead" space
in the system tray. Allow me to illustrate:
Before
[][][]10:00 AM
Now
[][][] 10:00 AM
In the above, the [] represents various icons in the tray. The problem is
that the space between the last icon and the clock has increased for no
apparent reason. All the icons and text appear to be the same size as
before. When I hover over the new dead space (thinking it might be an
invisible icon), I get the date pop-up for the system clock, which leads me
to believe that the clock itself has widened. Also, the amount of space does
not seem sufficient to fit another icon (almost, but not quite). I can't
pinpoint when this started occurring, but I first noticed it after the power
to my computer had been cut.
