System auto restarts on cold startup

L

Lester Stiefel

About two months ago, my system (self built), started to
automatically restart after cold startup. When I looked into
system logs, I noticed the entries at the time of this
phenomena were noted as in the attached, pasted text. Can
anyone return any info they might have on why this would happen?

In each case, the notation was that the drive maight be
corrupted where the driver was residing on. Or that the user
may not have sufficient rights to run the driver install.
None of these are true.
The system is a fresh install OS on multiple partitions
named Audio, Video, Page, Cache, Installs, Documents and
Daniel (system). Running Winamp and Musicmatch 10, ACDsee
8.1, Nero 6 SE, WordPerfect9, Bible research ware, Nvu,
Quicken, Lotus Org 2,PerectDisk,Zipgenius,HJSplit,
TurtleBeach SantaCruz,Adaware,SpybotSD,Belarc,TweakUI and
BulkRenamer,PhotoShop 5 LE, Helium 2 2005, DivX 625.

I suspected it could be the keyboard driver, but won't know
until i power down and start from scratch.

I would appreciate any help rendered.

go to start > run > msconfig > startup and disable all the starting
applications listed. be sure to checkout your startup folder too and ensure
it is empty. then reboot, restart windows and see if there any updates from
microsoft. what you are probably looking to get is something to remove
malicious saftware. then download windows defender from microsoft.com and do
a scan. you might want to remove those anitvirus and antispywares you have
since they may be contributing to your problem and may or may not be activily
scanning your system. a freeware called spyware terminator may be something
to download and use and it's free. but mcafee, norton and a couple of others
are pretty good too.
