Sysprep error on Windows XpProSp2

We need to deploy 70+ OEM machines to a customer; these machines have
XpProSp2 install by the OEM. We install custom apps and then run Sysprep with
the minisetup option to create an image source. While running Sysprep the
error message "Your grace period has expired and will not be reset" appears,
we click OK and the machine shutdown as required. After restoring the image
to an workstation we cannot activate Winxp online and the error message
“invalid product key appearsâ€. We have entered the product key after the
image restore process (during the windows minisetup) however by using a third
party software we can see that the product key for windows xp is neither the
one we enter nor the one from the image source.

What can we do to fix this?
