Sysfader: Explorer error

A

Al

I've gotten the following error randomly and it is
becoming a nuisance:

SysFader: Explorer.exe - Application Error

The instruction at "0x77f57ec4" referenced memory
at "0x00000067". The memory could not be "written".

I've seen the write-up for a mail message, but I've
gotten this message when opening explorer, the start-up
list of programs, and looking for files using my computer
(explorer).

any suggestions:

What does a scan with a current antivirus program (meaning a version not
earlier than 2002 and using updated virus definitions) show? Also,
remove spyware with Spybot Search & Destroy from
www.safer-networking.org and Ad-aware from www.lavasoftusa.com. Be sure
to update these programs before running them. These programs are free,
so run them both since they complement each other. It is best to run
antivirus and spyware removal tools in Safe Mode. You may also need to
run CWShredder from http://www.spywareinfo.com/~merijn/index.html .
Please read the instructions carefully. A great resource for dealing
with spyware is http://www.spywareinfo.com. Also, make sure you've
visited Windows Update and applied all security patches. Make sure you
are running a firewall.

There is a Microsoft KB article that mentions Sysfader. However, a
Google search makes it more likely that you got infected with a virus or
spyware. Do a full scan using a recently updated anti-virus product.
Then run Ad-Aware, Spybot, and CWShredder.
