SyncToy and Read Only

hi all

been playing with synctoy and loving it. But after running a process twice
(took for ever as i synced like 300gigs) there were a pile of files (about
500) that didn't copy over.

somehow, it occured to me to check the properties of some, and they all had
one thing in common.

They were "read only"

I couldn't find a post on this and so not sure if this is just me, or a
synctoy limitation, etc.

anyone know anything about this?

Just to add, my settings do not have the "exclude read-only" file ticked, so
in theory synctoy should include these files.

btw using SyncToy 2 beta

Sarge,

I'm pretty sure there's something more going on with those file than just
being read-only. We havent seen any problems with syncing over just plain
read-only files. We do not copy over desktop.ini and thumbs.db files. We also
do not follow junction points or offline files. Does any of this match up
with what you're seeing?
