Why does MS create this folder for syncronization errors,
what does it mean the offline addressbook? It is on the
server, Outlook does run in the cached mode, (I thought I
needed to run in cached mode for the spam to work- if not
can I turn off these messages? I get 40 of them a day at
least?

The problem is on the server - do you have a network/Exchange admin? It's
possible the offline address book (copy of the internal Exchange/Active
Directory address book for all your users) isn't being generated. Talk to
whomever runs this server & ask them to look into it.

And yes, you need to run in cached mode to use the junkmail feature in
OL2003 as far as I'm aware.
