Synchronize Kerio with IE program?

Please excuse me, I know this is a bit of OT, however i have not found
the answer elsewhere.
i'm also aware, there are many of you, regulars, in this ng, who know
how to tweak & write freeware programs. This is why i've posted here
about this.

I use Win-98_SE, IE 6.0, & a Dun dial-up to msn.com.

Question:
Is there a way to make Kerio's Personal Firewall program load when i
click-on to the IE icon from my desktop?

Why?
1. I don't like having Kerio running in the background by way of the
auto-start-up program from boot-up.
2. My spouse does not remember to click Kerio icon first & then BIG E
(IE icon) after the Dun dial-up program prompt.

Would you post or email me the "HOW TO" code info?

I use a batch file to load all my Internet stuff and another one to close it
when I'm finished (they're called "Start" and "End"--very original). Here
is a freeware app that will help you write them:

GREAT program! Thanks for the tip - it was exactly what I've been looking
for.

One note, though - it and Kerio don't seem to get along. It won't close
Kerio, but leaves the icon in the tray. C>A>D shows that Kerio is "running"
but "not responding." This is probably an issue with Kerio.

I found NetRun to work better for me on WinXP Pro take a look at
it also.
