I'm having trouble getting Help to explain what synchronization of folders
is all about. Can you explain or tell me where to look?

Synchronize:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Synchronize

Depending on what you want to synchronize Outlook to, you can sync to:
- Another Machine
- PDA
- Palm Pilot
- BlackBerry
- etc...

If you use an Exchange Server and your Outlook is configured to run
in CACHED MODE, your Outlook may need to Synchronize the
information that you have changed on your machine to the Exchange
Server database.

SlipStick has a bit of information on their "Synchronizing Outlook on
Two Machines" page:

it's outlook syncing your mail folders with the mail server. What type of
email acct do you have?

I deal with msn.com, and the properties for that account say "My mail server
is an HTTP server". I *think* this is the answer to your question. Now
what?

Diane, are you still with me?

For what it's worth, I know that with msn.com, the standard email folders
are kept on msn's servers, and only my other personal folders are local. In
view of that, I'm wondering what kind of synchronization is going on?
