Sync problem: Palm Tungsten E2 & Outlook 2007

I had Microsoft and Palm tech supports on a conference call - each was
pointing the finger at the other. Palm 'exhausted all workarounds'. Mr.
Microsoft bailed while I was talking to Ms. Palm. I've downloaded newest Palm
OS, Palm Outlook Conduit software, adjusted Palm to sync with Outlook prior
to calling them. Results = synchronization failed across the board.

PLEASE help!

Outlook is not responsible for the sync process. The sync tool does the
magic (or not). The only thing you should really check in Outlook is that
your pst-file doesn't hold any corruptions. You can verify this by using
scanpst.exe against your pst-file.

I am not a technical person. Can you clarify how I can:

Okay. I found the scanpst.exe, ran it, errors were found and repaired. When I
set up the synch again I was asked for a 'Microsoft profile'. Choices were MS
Outlook or TEST (created 2 days ago while testing synch). I chose MS Outlook.
Synch failed again. Any further ideas please?

Then your issue is not with Outlook but with the sync application. The error
log is also from the sync application. You should go back to support for the
sync application; there is nothing wrong with your Outlook configuration.

Could you tell me why you know the problem is not with Outlook? I need to
know what to say to the Palm tech support because I was already told they've
'exhausted all workarounds'. I don't know what else to say to them except it
doesn't work. Thank you very much!

Did you ever get any response or work this out. I'm having the exact same
problem, but with a Treo 755p and outlook 2007
