Symantec Antivirus Cannot see the Directory list box

Dear all,

I have intslled Symantec Antivirus to XP machine. When I run the
Antivirus and chose to Scan the computer, it is suppoed that there
should be directory list that let me to chose which drive to scan. But
the now the directory list windows is blank and I cannot select any
drive. What happened?
I guess it shouldbe somthing wrong with XP that makes the Symantec
antivirus
not showing the drive list box. Please help.
