Hello

Can i select which user to use at start up, Because at the moment Vista
starts up as Administrator, and I have to switch user to run my programs?

Can I set Vista up so it starts as my other User Account? by default?

Regards

The start up screen should present you with the options of logging in to any
user account on your computer. If you shut it down by Sleep or Hibernation,
you will only see the last used account at boot-up, but in the right lower
corner there is a red button you can click to find the option to log into a
different account.

If the user account is gone and none of the above works, I suggest you back
up your user files, delete the account that does not appear and create a new
one.

Btw, all programs can be run from an administrator account. If there are no
shortcuts or Start Menu entries for them, you can create some. Press F1 for
how-to.

Hi,

Log in to any account, click start and type "control userpasswords2"
(without the quotes), then hit <enter>. In the dialog box, check the box to
require users to logon and hit apply. Now click on your account in the user
list, then uncheck the box. Click apply again, then ok and follow the
prompts to use your account as the default logon.
