switching resolution

My wife and I each have a user account with each account having owner
privileges. Whenever my wife tries to use certain games, the display
changes from hi resolution (1024 by 768) to low resolution (800 by 600.)
This never happens on my settings, even the same games. How can I prevent
this unwanted change?

Hello,

These settings are usually stored in the game itself. Usually you can set
these options in Options > Video > Resolution. Of course these options are
game independent and differ for each game, but I hope you get what I mean.
Its not the operating system that's controlling the resolution, it is only
the game.
