Switching Hardware Profiles

I have a Dell Latitude D600 laptop that has a dual monitor PCI video
card in the expansion slot in the docking station. The laptop has two
hardware profiles on it, one for docked and one for undocked.
Currently, I have to shut down to undock and shutdown to redock...Is
there any way to switch hardware profiles without rebooting?

I have a similar setup on my laptop, A profile for docked and one for
undocked. I do believe and conversed with resources and there isn't
away around it with out a reboot. I will continue to look. If you
find some way around it, which I dont think is even existent yet, let
me know as well.
