Switchboard button problem

Hi,

I have an Access 2007 Database with a switchboard containing one menu of 6
items, when I open the Switchboard form manually it displays the 6 options
correctly. Yet when I set the Switchboard to display at startup and open the
database an addtional 7th button which is unlabeled is added to the bottom of
the form. Clicking on this button displays a message box with 'unknown
option'.

I have checked the Switchboard items table for eroneous entries but it
looks ok.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Hi Paul,
unless you have a good reason for using the current switchboard, it is often
easier to make your own switchboard using an unbound form and command
buttons.
You don't need a table for a simple switchboard, just put code on the
buttons to open whichever form is needed.

Hi Jeanette,

I will probably go with your suggestion, with the amount of time i have
spent trying to identify where this button has come from I could have created
an unbound form with buttons in half the time.

Thanks

Paul
