Switchboard addition

I added another constant to the switchboard items in the coding on the form
to open a form in Datasheet view. I am trying to figure out how to go about
adding this as an option when you click on the switchboard manager in the
Tools:Database Utilities menu. I am currently just going into the table that
holds the switchboard info and changing the items I want to open that way.
But it would be so much nicer to actually have an option as you are assigning
them in the Switchboard Manager.

The problem with the built-in switchboards is that you cannot use the
manager to manage your own additions. Continue to do it manually as
you are now.
Why not just create your own switchboard using an unbound form with
command buttons. You'll have more control over it's function,
appearance, and certainly it's maintenance.

This is definitely possible, but it is a WHOLE lot of work let me you!

I have actually accomplished this by creating an Advanced SBM and
opening a datasheet form is one of the available options now. I'm not
quite ready to release the final version yet so in the meantime you will
have to manually add the information to the table and/or create your
own switchboard-type form as Fred has suggested.

Thanks Jeff. Any idea when you might have it ready?

No, not really.
Everything currently works, but I need to make some fine tuning
to the form itself. I put it down for quite a while to work on other
projects. I need to dust it off and start working on it again here
soon.
