I have been having problems with svchost and do not seem to be able to fix
it. One of the copies of Svchost grabs up to 99% of the CPU and everything
else stops dead. The only way to be able to use the computer is canceling the
task from Task manager at which point the speakers stop functioning. About
three weeks ago I downloaded the latest version of Microsoft Media Player and
the problem disappeared for about a week. Without any modifications (no
downloads) to the Windows system the problem showed up again.
I will be very thankful for the solution to this very annoying problem.
