SVCHOST.EXE

Hi All

Recently I have noticed that when my PC starts it automatically starts to
upload lot of data on to the net. I am running XP Sp2 with Zone Alarm
Security Suite.

Once I go into Windows Task manager, I see a very large file approx: 20364KB
of svchost.exe, once I end the process of this file straight away after
booting, the upload activity stops.

I have been spending endless hours to find a solution to this issue in order
to find out where this data is getting uploaded to and which file in the
system starts this upload so it can be rectified. Zone Alarm Suite lists the
activity as "Generic Host Process for Win32 Services" If I stop this process
in Zone Alarm it stops all the Internet activity hence I can not use the net
at all.

I would highly appreciate if someone can assist me in resolving this issue
without going to the path reimaging the whole PC.

Thank you in advance.

What AV?
You probably have malware.
You can evaluate your system with David Lipman's MULI_AV.
