Hey all,
I've been getting this error for quite a while and was wondering if there
was any other ideas besides reinstalling windows.
The error is as follows.
Application popup: svchost.exe - Application Error : The instruction at
"0x00ab96bc" referenced memory at "0x00000000". The memory could not be
"written".
Click on OK to terminate the program
Click on CANCEL to debug the program
It only does this when I try to access My Computer, Windows Explorer (with
the folders along the side) and Adobe Photoshop, and MS Paint.
For the 1st three, I thought it was something with the network I'm running
on, but does Paint connect to the network in anyway?
I've ran Ad-aware and Spy-bot S&D both updated, but I still have the
problem. It doesn't give me the error in Safe Mode, so I assume it has to do
with the instance of svchost.exe running for the network.
But I can't seem to fix the problem.
Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance,
Andrew.
