We have SUS working within our LAN, the document that MS
supplies is very indepth and step by step "SUS Release
Notes SP1 SUS_sp1_install.doc 426 KB" You will find most
answers to issues in there. What you may not find is a
full description of what registry keys on the client
needs to be set. It is worth the effort - this morning we
had over 600 systems update with the latest patch (update)
that was released, and we really did nothing.

I got it to work (Test Phase)
.... I didn't edit the registry. I used the GP editor to edit the local machines
policy for the Windows Update parameters.

Pretty straight forward.

*Our next step is implementing it into our mixed NT Environment. Only have a few
2000 and XP machines for now.
