SUS Question

Not sure if this is the proper forum or not, but I have a question about
SUS....

Would it be bad to put a SUS server in our DMZ network. I'm thinking about
this configuration because we have both internal desktops that need to be
updated, and 32 remote locations (that are NOT connected by a WAN or VPN
network) that also need updates. I thought the DMZ would be a perfect spot
for SUS as we can configure firewall rules to allow both internal and our
remote sites to gain access to our centralized "approved" updates.

Thoughts?

Thanks,
Troy

Hi

Fyi, there is a separate newsgroup for SUS:

microsoft.public.softwareupdatesvcs

news://msnews.microsoft.com/microsoft.public.softwareupdatesvcs

URL to the group softwareupdatesvcs for those who uses the Web
interface to access the newsgroups:
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsser...t.mspx?dg=microsoft.public.softwareupdatesvcs

A Web site about SUS with a FAQ and a SUS forum:
