Surf Side Kick - SSK

I have run several scans on my machine - Microsoft Antispyware Beta 1 and
Ad-Aware SE and I still can not remove the above files along with a list of
others.

I have installed the Microsoft Defender package, but it will not run, I get
an error message as follows:

"Application failed to initialize: 0x800106ba a problem caused Windows
Defender Service to stop."

I re-booted my machine as asked, but still this message apears when I try to
run the program.

I am being driven mad by pop ups.

Hello Lee,

To uninstall Surf Sidekick, you can do so easily from the Add/Remove
Programs option available in the Control Panel in your Windows' Settings.

Find and select "Surf Sidekick" (older versions may be called "TV Media")
Click "Change/Remove" button
Restart you computer after uninstalling the program

If you have problems download Ewido and Ccleaner,

Download Ewido

http://www.ewido.net/en/download/

Install ewido.
During the installation, under "Additional Options"
uncheck "Install background guard" and "Install scan via
context menu".
Launch ewido
It will prompt you to update click the OK button and it
will go to the main screen
On the left side of the main screen click update
Click on Start and let it update.
DO NOT run a scan yet. You will do that later in safe
mode.

Download Ccleaner

http://www.ccleaner.com/downloadbuilds.asp
Note, When you install Ccleaner, uncheck the Yahoo toolbar option.
Note, in Options, Settings, Advanced, uncheck - Only delete files in Windows
folders older than 48 hours.
Note: uncheck Windows Defender in the applications.
Open Ccleaner and press "Windows" "Aplications" and Run Cleaner from the
menu choose 'Issues' and then press scan for issues, Repair any fºund.
Run twice Ccleaner, the same as above, until you get “0 bytes to be removedâ€.

Reboot into safe mode (Reboot and tap F8 and choose safe
mode)

Open Add/Remove screen and remove SurfSideKick

Run Ewido and choose scanner then Complete System Scan
During the scan it will prompt you to clean files, click
remove for each

(When it finishes scanning it will give some options at
the bottom of the screen, choose save report and save it
to your desktop)

Run WD on a full scan and remove anything found

Run Ccleaner and press "Run cleaner"
Open Ccleaner and press "Windows" "Aplications" and Run Cleaner from the
menu choose 'Issues' and then press scan for issues, Repair any fºund.
Run twice Ccleaner, the same as above, until you get “0 bytes to be removedâ€.

Then Reboot back to normal mode
