Supress Trailing Space in Cross-Reference

David L.

Is there a way to supress the final space in a cross reference? I have a
bookmark that has a space at the end (i.e. "This is the text ") and I'm
trying to figure out a way to have the cross reference just appear as "This
is the text" (no space at the end).

Is this possible? Thanks!

I'm not aware of any way, short of programming.

Maybe you can make a hidden bookmark referring to the same issue that
is the one without the trailing space?

yes, sure.

Though the unspoken question first is: why does the bookmark have to
incorporate the space in the first place. :)
