Hi,

I am using windows 98 2nd edition with IE 6. When a web page has an applet,
I'll get the msg:"Your browser does not support Java. Program could not
continue. " Can you tell me where to get the java virtural machine. I have
updated the windows. I could not find it from the MS website.

Understand that because of a court decision Microsoft is stopping all Java
support, including security updates, in January.

Then your Win2K must have Java installed.
