Support gave me a illegal key

Microsoft support gave me an illegal CD KEY for xp pro. I got the key from
the support team of microsoft when I needed a re-install. So..when i came to
support for some help this afternoon....

They refused it. claiming it was illegal and that I was at fault. i dont
see how as I cant tell if a CD key is OEM or not.

I cant afford $200 everytime a microsoft employee cant do their job properly

Your only solution is to contact Microsoft support
as no one in this newsgroup can help you with an
improper Product Key. What happened to the
Product Key that originally came with your CD?

I've been through this enough to know what your going through. USE the key
you got with the cd, it will not activate but will get you to microsoft to
activate windows again. The key they give you when you call in is a one
time use key and can only be used that one time or it does show up illegal.
