Suggestions to MS antispware staff

Hi,

On using MS antispyware beta, i thought i'd provide a
couple of minor improvements for ease of use.

The updater for example, when downloading a new sig file,
all we get is an annoying animation whilst the file is
being downloaded.

It would be better to replace this with a progress bar
and possibly how much in Kb is to be downloaded, along
with estimated download time.

Also in the top right hand side perhaps a summary icon
button, for quick access back to the main screen.

If possible increase the frequency of updates as well.
One of the reasons i downloaded MS antispyware was
because i got fed up with spybotSD's lack of updates.

Any antispyware application is only as good as its
current sig file. Since spyware is released on a daily
basis, the more MS antispyware regularly updates the
better chance it has of catching malware.

These are minor things i have mentioned and MS team
probably have more pressing matters that need attending
to on MS antispyware. But i thought id throw in my 2
cents worth.

I agree with the progress bar part and the Kb part too, should be more like
Windows Update.

i agree with you but they should change everything on
Microsoft Antispyware interface its too boring and too
many shortcut to click. the color is not that good, font
is hard to see and small, icon with animation ugly,no
need for icon with animation plain icon is good enough,
just put a circle with green color if it's active why did
they choose star if real-time protection is all active,
star doesn't make sense at all. it would be nice if i see
the plain/simple disable and enable instead of the crappy
deactivate and activate.

Hi Jack,
This Beta went live within 3 weeks of MS purchase of Giant. I suspect that
there will be improvements in the UI when it goes to its release stage.
I would also suspect that defs will come more often once the bugs get worked
out.
