Are there specific programs it has a tendency to suddenly re-boot on,
or, is it randomly re-booting?

Have you checked the power supply? I am wondering about the power
supply because of your having to remove n' re-plug the power cord after
a re-boot.

Download mem86 and run in machine for eight hours, you will probably find a
memory problem. I note you have replaced your memory, but still run mem86 as
suggested.

Psu failing ?

You should memtest86 your replacement memory.

Other problem could be your Windows registry. Check system events for
error messages. Disable system restore, boot to to safe mode then virus
check, run a registry cleaner (RegistryHealer is shareware for 15 cleans
at a time), scandisk and defrag the HD..
