Suddenly, Outlook is deleting messages after reply or forward

Running Outlook 2002 on laptop. Has run just fine for two years. Suddenly,
Outlook is deleting orignal messages if I reply to them, or forward them.
Views is NOT set to Unread Messages...it is set to see all messages. This
happened once before, and it seems that I changed a setting or something to
fix it, but that was several months ago, and of course I can't remember! I'm
sure that this is a simple thing, but...

Most likely you set your view to Sort by Icon since the Icon changes
whenever you reply or forward a message.
