I had been experiencing an issue when playing any kind of
3d game under Win XP Home. After a number of avenues
trying to diagnose and solve the problem, it was
suggested to me to disable the option under System
Recovery that forces the OS to retsart on system failures.
I have a whole series of mini-dumps that were created
when the sys was still rebooting, during the running of
the following games I was testing with;
Star Wars Jedi Outcast II
Everquest
However, since disabling this spiteful auto reboot
feature I have had no reboots, but more importantly, no
minidumps.
My query is, what was responsible for the reboots in the
first place, if I am not getting memdumps since disabling
this?
