subofmr contained in tab page

How do i refer to a field control within a sub form of a form on a page of a
tab control?

tried a few ways e.g
[Forms]![Main tab]![Batches].[Form]![Batch Number]
cant seem to address the page number ?
and it doesnt work

Just forget about the Tab control, the field still belongs to the form and
should be referenced in the same way whether on a tab or not.
