Subforms Linkage

M

MKuria

I have created 3 tables and established the relationships - works fine
Mkt - Mkt id and name
Cust info - custid, request dates, mktid, comments
Custorderdetail - custid, orderid, products, mktid, qty ordered

My problem is when I attempt to create form and subforms using wizard. I
can create a subform using any of the 2 tables but not the 3 of them.
I want to create mkt form and subform1 showing cust info and subform2
showing cust orders. I want to click on subform 1 and see its detail in
subform2. I have cleared and restablised the relationship without any luck.
Any helpis highly aprreciated.

Hi MKuria,
There is a working sample database with this set up and working in the A2003
version of the Northwind database.
On the menu bar Help | Sample databases | Northwind
Look at the forms for orders. One of them has 2 subforms set up as you are
trying to do.

In A2007, Northwind can be downloaded by clicking the help icon and
searching for Northwind.
However, this version does not use 2 linked subforms as you wish. Instead it
uses a tab control on a subform to show all the related information.

I know that this can be set up using the wizard as I have done it myself
using some simple tables.
I don't know why it is not working for you.
